Welcome! I’m Istvan from the Hearty Food Recipes

I live in Transylvania, Romania. Here, from the mixture of Romanian and Hungarian recipes, a unique cuisine has developed over the centuries and is filled with tasty recipes. The fact that the cuisine of both countries has been influenced by Turkish, Greek, French, and Austrian cooking makes the recipes here even more delicious. 

My mother has cooked very well for as long as I can remember, which is probably why I enjoy preparing my own food. My issue, as I believe many of us have, is with time. In this fast-paced world, unfortunately, there is never enough time for anything. That’s why I either modify the recipe or choose one from the start that is simple and easy to prepare but still results in a hearty meal because I love to eat 🙂
